General FAQ

What types of facials do you offer? Do I choose what type of treatment I receive?

At Faced The Facial Studio®, our service menu is simple: all of our services are either 30 or 50 minutes. Your options are: 30 Minute Custom Facial, 30 Minute Signature Hydrafacial, 50 Minute Custom Facial, 50 Minute Custom Facial + Dermaplaning, or 50 Minute Platinum Hydrafacial. Once you are in the treatment room, your esthetician will analyze your skin in order to customize your treatment to your needs.

Are enhancements like LED, microdermabrasion, or dermaplaning extra? How do I book them?

All enhancements are included in the price of your facial — no upcharges, ever.

Your esthetician will choose the most effective treatments based on your skin type, concerns, and goals. Our 30-minute facials typically include one enhancement, while 50-minute facials may include two to three, depending on what your skin needs that day.

If there’s something specific you’d like to try (like LED or microdermabrasion), feel free to mention it when you discuss your goals with your esthetician.

Dermaplaning is available only with 50-minute facials and must be selected at booking to ensure the proper tools and protocols are prepped in advance.

What is dermaplaning? Do you offer it?

Yes! Dermaplaning, a non-invasive physical form of exfoliation using a specialized blade that removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) from the surface of your skin. It is a complementary add-on that can be added to any of our 50 Minute services.

Book it by selecting either the “50 Minute Custom Facial + Dermaplaning” or “50 Minute Hydrafacial + Dermaplaning” option. Our professional staff will work with you to determine if you are a good candidate for the service.

Do you offer group bookings?

Yes, Faced The Facial Studio® is a great place to celebrate everything from birthdays to bachelorettes to friends’ evenings out! For groups of 3 or more, Faced The Facial Studio® offers membership pricing. Contact us to learn more about how we can help make your group outing special.

Do you have any special offers for brides and grooms?

Yes, we offer special package pricing for our brides and grooms. You can learn more about pricing and what it includes here.

Do you have a Referral Program?

Yes! Share the secret to glowing skin with friends and they’ll receive $50 off their first facial, you’ll receive $25 in account credit that can be applied to membership service upgrades, products, or services. There’s no limit, so you can refer as many friends as you’d like! Account credit will appear 24 hours after they have completed their appointment.

Do you have a minimum age requirement?

We treat clients 12 or older.  Clients under the age of 18 years old must have a parent or guardian’s consent to be treated.  

Can I get a facial if I am pregnant?

Absolutely! Our experienced estheticians are happy to guide you through all the changes that come with hormonal changes during this time, and will follow pregnancy-safe protocols. Please make sure to note in your Intake Form that you are pregnant.  

Can I get a facial if I am an oncology patient?

Please give us a call at the studio so we can discuss individualized treatment options.

What should I avoid before and after my facial?

Please make sure to follow the steps below:

  • Stop the use of Retin-A, Renova, Adapalene, BHAs, AHAs, or any other intensive prescribed exfoliating products 1-2 weeks prior to your appointment.  
  • If you have been on Accutane, you must wait 8 months after stopping use to receive a facial.
  • If you plan to get Botox or fillers, do so at least 2 weeks before your facial.
  • If you’ve had any recent facial trauma/surgery, you must wait 6 months before getting a facial.
  • Avoid steam rooms 48 hours before your appointment and 48 hours after your appointment to reduce any inflammation.  
  • If you plan to work-out before a facial, do so 2-3 hours prior to your appointment; workouts can increase the core temperature of your body which may cause the skin to be more reactive to certain treatments.
  • If you have any open wounds, contagious conditions, or cold sores, please wait until they are healed to get a facial.
  • Avoid waxing, shaving, tweezing, harsh exfoliation, excessive sun exposure, and abrasive tools 48-72 hours before your facial.
  • Wait 24-48 hours after having lash extensions before getting a facial.
  • After your facial, avoid direct sun exposure, steam rooms, excessive heat, abrasive facial tools, exfoliation, active ingredients, and waxing or hair removal for 24-48 hours. 
  • Please also follow the post-treatment advice your esthetician provides.
Are there gift cards available for purchase?

Yes, you can purchase physical gift cards at the studio.  Electronic gift cards can be purchased online here.  

What payment methods do you accept?

As a cash-free business, credit cards are the only form of payment we accept for services, products, and gratuity.

May I bring a guest or my child into my treatment room with me?

No, only the client is permitted in the treatment room.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Prior to The Day of Your Appointment

No problem. If you would like to, reschedule for another time that works for you!

Same-Day Appointment Cancellation

If you cancel or reschedule a 30 Minute service on the day of your scheduled appointment, your credit card on file will be charged $50. If you cancel or reschedule a 50 Minute service on the day of your scheduled appointment, your credit card on file will be charged $75.

No Show/No Call

If you do not cancel or show up for your 30 Minute service, your card on file will be charged $105. If you do not cancel or show up for your 50 Minute service, your card on file will be charged $170.

Late Arrival

If you arrive within 5 minutes after your scheduled start time for a 30 minute facial, we will do an expedited facial. If you arrive within 20 minutes after your 50 minute facial start time, we will do an expedited facial. Please note that if you have booked dermaplaning, we will not be able to perform this modality during an expedited service.

If you do not arrive within the prescribed times, we will charge the no-show rate.

Services FAQs

What are the benefits of dermaplaning and how often should I have the service?

Dermaplaning reveals smoother and brighter skin, giving the complexion a rejuvenated appearance. It creates a smooth canvas for make-up application, and it enhances product absorption into the skin. You may return every 3-4 weeks for dermaplaning.

If I receive a dermaplaning service, will my facial hair grow back thicker than before?

No, the vellus hair on your face will not grow back thicker than before.

What are milia? Will you extract them?

Milia are small, hard cysts that form beneath the skin and can’t be safely extracted during a facial. Because they require a different treatment approach, Faced estheticians do not remove milia.

If you’re concerned about them, we recommend consulting a dermatologist, who can provide the most effective options for removal.

Does Faced The Facial Studio® offer membership programs?

Yes! Healthy, glowing skin comes from consistency. Our membership program makes it easy and affordable to keep up with regular facials. Members receive discounted facial pricing, exclusive product savings, and access to an ongoing skincare routine designed to evolve with you. Learn more about our membership program here.

What are the benefits of your membership program?
  • Our best price point on services: Members who visit once monthly receive approximately 11% off services, and members who visit twice monthly receive approximately 20% off services.
  • Members receive 20% off all retail products during their birthday week.
  • Members always receive 10% off all in-store retail purchases so they can keep their glow going at home.
  • Hydrafacial access: members may apply their monthly membership towards the cost of a Hydrafacial.
  • Special access to events and new treatments.
  • Priority booking.
If I have a membership, how can I book online?

You book the exact same way you would book a single facial service. Click “Book Now” on the website then follow the prompts.

  • Please note that at the end of your online booking, the booking service will request your credit card information. Despite this request, you will not be charged for your service when you book. Only a holding charge will be placed on your card.
  • When you check out after your service, your membership voucher will be applied against the cost of your service. The only payment due at the time of the service is any gratuity you choose to leave.
If I have a membership, when will I be charged?  

You’ll be billed once a month, on the same date your membership began.

May I cancel my membership at any time?

There is a minimum 3 month commitment to the membership program. This allows time for the results of your regular facials to become evident. After that, you may cancel your membership any time, with at least 15 days notice prior to your next billing date.

If I have a membership, can I pause my membership if I can't use it for a period of time?

Yes, you may pause your membership one time every twelve months for a one, two, or three month period. You must notify the studio in writing (info@facedfacialstudio.com) at least 48 hours in advance of your next monthly membership charge in order to pause it.

If I have a membership, may I rollover my unused voucher into the next month?

All membership vouchers must be used within 60 days of the monthly charge and will permanently expire after that.

  • No more than two vouchers may be on your account at any given time, unless you are a two-visit per month member, in which case you may have a maximum of four vouchers on your account at a time.
  • In order to use an extra voucher, you may visit Faced The Facial Studio® twice in one month or apply up to two vouchers towards a Hydrafacial.
Is my membership transferrable?

No, memberships and membership vouchers are non-transferrable.

Product Shipping & Returns

Shipping

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Orders are processed and shipped within 3 to 4 business days.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. For more information please visit our Shipping Policy page.

Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
